STAFF at the county's police stations and call centres will be tested
by mystery shoppers in a bid to improve "good old fashioned customer service.
Staffordshire's
Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis has launched a mystery
shopper scheme to make sure people get a high-quality service from
police.
Mystery Shoppers visit police front desks, make calls to the non-emergency 101 number and seek information on the force's website.
Their
feedback – positive or negative – will be fed to the force's Ethics,
Transparency and Audit Panel and the police will also get a copy
highlight where things are being done well or where improvement is
needed.
"This is about good old fashioned customer service," said Mr Ellis.
